On-site after-school program 2017/2018


WINTER REGISTRATION NOW OPEN


Our after-school program takes place in our performing arts studio and on stage at Jet City Improv. Participants enjoy working in small groups to create full musicals complete with sets, props and costume that will be performed live on stage at the end of each trimester (fall, winter and spring) Students can attend 1 or 5 days a week. Please note that students will participate in musical theatre classes and art every day.

We have partnered with several Seattle and Shoreline area schools to bring our classes to you! We offer classes in musical theatre, voice and keyboarding, music and movement, improv drama, and show choir. We are currently planning on offering programs at the following schools this fall:



ADAMS- Fridays- Musical Theatre~ Wizard of Oz~ Registration Opens December 6th


Description: Follow the yellow brick road as we join Dorothy, the Tin Man, Scarecrow, the Lion, Toto, Glinda, The Wicked Witch and of course munchkins through several great Oz adventures. Musical theatre songs Merry Old Land of Oz, Ease On Down the Road and Somewhere Over the Rainbow will be explored. Through vocal exercises, theatre games, blocking, and character building, you'll have more heart, brains and courage than you ever dreamed possible.

JSIS- Winter 2018-3rd-5th Tuesdays and Fridays Seussical the Musical Registration Opens 12/3 6pm


Description: Come join Seattle’s Performers for Seussical the Musical! Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child, who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Horton's challenge is twofold – not only must he protect the Whos from aworld of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! Our Suessical production class will culminate
with 2 performances on stage at Jet City Improv for family and friends on Sunday,March 25th.

​WEST WOODLAND- Wednesdays Shrek the Musical Jr. Grades 3rd-5th Full Production 2 sessions


Description: Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek.  One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task – if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way. This class is 20 weeks long so make sure that you register for both sessions! We will also be including full sets and costumes for this fantastical tale! You won't want to miss out!

Cost: $300 each session (Fall and Winter Session) Performance Weekend of March 17th
